Useful information and links regarding applying for a visa to study in Ireland.

The Department of Foreign Affairs
Maintains a list of Irish embassies. They also have some visa information, but they are NOT responsible for processing visas. Student visa applications received by the Department of Foreign Affairs are passed on to the Department of Justice.

If you are an EU or EEA national, you DO NOT require a visa to come to Ireland.

If you are NOT an EU or EEA citizen and do not require a visa to study in Ireland, we will provide you with a letter of Invitation for Immigration purposes.  If you stay for longer than 90 days you must register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB).

Ireland operates an online visa application system.

If your visa is refused you have a right of appeal. We are happy to help you with this procedure. It is important to note that a refusal must be appealed within 3 months of the decision to refuse your visa, so it is necessary to act quickly.

If you are refused, contact the office where you made an application and ask (in writing) for the reasons for refusal. The visa office are obliged to tell you why your visa was refused.

In the event of your visa being refused we will refund the full course fees.  Yhere will be an administration charge of EUR 100.

We are obliged to check that the visa application is closed before we can issue a refund. To speed up this process, please provide us with the original letter of refusal.
